Why X96 Mini TV Box Image Freezes
If your X96 Mini TV Box freezes or the image stops while watching TV or videos, follow these steps to identify and fix the problem.
Step 1: Restart the TV Box
- Turn off the X96 Mini TV Box and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 10 seconds and plug it back in.
- This can fix temporary freezing issues.
Step 2: Check Your Internet Connection
- A slow or unstable internet connection can cause the image to freeze.
- Go to Settings > Network and check your Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
- Make sure the signal is strong and stable for smooth video streaming.
Step 3: Close Background Apps
- Many apps running in the background can overload the TV Box memory.
- Go to Multitasking or press the Home button long and close unused apps.
- This frees up memory and improves performance.
Step 4: Adjust Video Settings
- Go to Settings > Display and check your TV resolution.
- Set the resolution to match your TV (for example, 1080p or 720p).
- Wrong resolution settings can cause freezing or video lag.
Step 5: Update System and Apps
- Go to Settings > About > System Update.
- Update the X96 Mini software if a new version is available.
- Also, update apps from the Google Play Store.
Step 6: Use a Compatible Media Player
- Some apps or video files may not work well with the default player.
- Install and use KD Player or VLC Player to play your videos.
- This reduces the chance of freezing.
Step 7: Check Memory and Storage
- Full storage can cause the X96 Mini to freeze.
- Go to Settings > Storage and delete unnecessary files or apps.
Step 8: Factory Reset (If Needed)
- If the problem persists, perform a factory reset.
- Go to Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset.
- Make sure to back up important files before doing this.
