How to Download and Install Amazon App on Mini TV Box
Quick checklist before we start
- TV and Mini TV Box are plugged in and turned on.
- TV Box is connected to Wi-Fi.
- You have the Amazon email and password ready.
- At least 200–300 MB free space on the TV Box.
Step-by-step: Install from Google Play Store (Easiest)
- On the TV, use the box remote to go to Apps.
- Open Google Play Store.
- In Play Store, select the Search box.
- Type “Amazon Prime Video” and search.
- Find the official app (Amazon logo).
- Click Install. Wait for download and install.
- Open Prime Video after install.
- Tap Sign In. Enter Amazon email and password.
- If asked, enter the verification code sent to your phone.
- You’re ready to watch.
Step-by-step: Install with APK (When Play Store is NOT available)
- Get the APK file from a trusted source only (Amazon official page or well-known APK sites).
- On the TV Box go to Settings → Security (or Device Preferences → Security).
- Turn on Unknown Sources or allow the File Manager / Downloader app to install apps.
- Two ways to move the APK to the TV Box:
- Use the Downloader app on the box and paste the APK URL to download.
- Or download APK on a PC, copy to a USB drive, plug USB into the TV Box.
- Open the File Manager on the TV Box and open the APK file.
- Click Install. Wait until installation finishes.
- Open Prime Video, then Sign In with Amazon credentials.
- Turn off Unknown Sources again if you prefer tighter security.
Important: Only install APKs from trusted sources. Don’t use random websites.
First-time setup in the app
- Open app → Sign In.
- In settings, choose Video Quality (Auto or Medium if internet is slow).
- Turn on subtitles or change audio language if you wish.
- Test by playing a short video.
Troubleshooting (Common fixes)
- App not in Play Store: Check Android version. If very old, use APK or use casting from phone.
- Install error / not enough space: Free up storage or remove unused apps.
- App says “not compatible”: Device may not support the app. Use phone casting or get a supported box (Fire TV / Chromecast).
- Can’t sign in: Check email/password. If two-step is on, use the code on your phone. Reset password via Amazon if needed.
- Playback is choppy: Lower video quality in app settings or improve Wi-Fi signal.
Quick tips for clients
- Restart the box: unplug power, wait 10 seconds, plug in again.
- Keep the app updated when updates appear.
- If remote is hard to use, try a mobile remote app or an air mouse.
- If nothing works, you can cast Prime Video from your phone to the TV (if the box or TV supports casting).
